This position plays a key role in managing ground-up developments within the ICI sector, overseeing projects from pre-construction through to completion. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, from budgeting and scheduling through to close-out and delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and addressing potential risks.
- Lead tendering and procurement efforts to secure materials and subcontractor agreements.
- Manage change orders, cost control, and reporting to ensure projects remain on budget.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to maintain transparency and alignment.
Skills and Experience:
- Project Experience: Proven background managing ICI new build projects, ideally in sectors such as education, healthcare, municipal, or commercial.
- Leadership: Strong ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and resolve challenges efficiently.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction scheduling software, drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Experience: Minimum of 8–12 years of progressive experience in construction project management, ideally with a general contractor.
- Education: Post‑secondary degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.
