Job description
We’re Hiring: Project Manager – Industrial Machining & Refurbishment

Davis Machine Co. is growing, and we’re looking to add an experienced Project Manager to help lead and coordinate complex industrial machining and refurbishment work.

This role sits at the center of our operation, connecting the shop floor, office, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

If you thrive in an industrial environment, enjoy owning the details, and understand that successful projects are built on planning, documentation, material control, and communication, this role will feel right at home.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects from kickoff through final delivery. Your focus will be on schedule control, documentation, materials, subcontracted services, and logistics, ensuring work moves smoothly through the shop and out the door.

This is a hands‑on coordination role embedded in operations, not a desk‑only PM position.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Managing industrial machining and refurbishment projects end‑to‑end
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules and priorities
  • Coordinating materials, purchasing, and supplier deliveries
  • Managing subcontracted services such as NDT, heat treatment, coatings, and forming
  • Preparing and compiling QA documentation and closeout packages
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics with carriers and freight providers
  • Maintaining organized, traceable project records
  • Proactively identifying and resolving schedule, material, or logistical risks
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in project coordination or project management within manufacturing, machining, or industrial environments
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
  • Comfort working with technical drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects in a fast‑paced shop environment
  • Clear communicator who can work effectively with both trades and office teams
  • Experience with ERP systems is an asset (JobBOSS2 experience is a strong plus)
  • PMP certification is not required but considered an asset
Why Davis Machine Co.
  • Work on meaningful industrial projects, not commodity production
  • Be embedded in operations where your decisions directly impact outcomes
  • Collaborate with skilled tradespeople, engineers, and long‑term industrial clients
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits
  • Stable workload with strong growth trajectory
