About the Role

The PMO Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning project reporting and governance activities across technology and business initiatives within RBC. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical communication and organizational skills who can collaborate effectively with both technology and finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management Tool Admin: make sure all questions of PV are addressed update & reconcile information between source data and Planview monitor the changes in Planview
  • Project Governance: help implement and maintain PMO governance standards monitor compliance and manage risk and issue registers.
  • Project Risk Management: navigate the enterprise approval process for change initiative risk assessments and provide guidance to project practitioners.
  • Project Support: assist with project planning budget tracking resource allocation and documentation to ensure projects stay on track and within scope.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: collect analyze and report on project data including progress risks and budgets to provide insights and support decision-making for project managers and senior leaders.
  • Process Improvement: identify lessons learned and areas for improvement within project execution and PMO processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Communication: facilitate communication between project teams stakeholders and leadership ensuring alignment and a shared understanding of project goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word)
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project Jira / Confluence or Asana
  • Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence / reporting tools
  • Strong financial reporting and analysis experience; accounting background preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Accounting Finance or a related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications such as CPA PMP or a Masters degree in a relevant field
  • Prior experience in a PMO or project finance role within a large enterprise or financial institution
