Job summary

Academica Group, a Canadian leader in higher education market research, is hiring a Project Manager to coordinate consulting projects for colleges and universities across Canada.

You will work with project leads, clients and team members to manage plans, timelines, reports and meetings, while ensuring high-quality outputs and strong client relationships. This 13-month contract offers flexible work location in London, Ontario, with remote, hybrid or on-site options.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Position Type: 13-month contract

At Academica, we provide insights that help postsecondary institutions make better decisions. Join our team as a Project Manager and contribute to meaningful consulting projects for colleges and universities across Canada.

As a Project Manager, you’ll work closely with Project Leads, clients, and other team members to keep projects organized and moving forward. On a day-to-day basis, you may be coordinating project activities and timelines, contributing to reports and presentations, communicating with clients, and supporting meeting and consultation activities.

Our ideal candidate is thoughtful and highly organized, communicates clearly, and pays close attention to detail. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative working environment and are comfortable balancing multiple priorities. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with clients and colleagues and contributing to help the team deliver high-quality work that has real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project work plans
  • Track progress against milestones and ensure deliverables are completed on time
  • Coordinate internal team members’ work and schedules (Project Lead, consultants, research manager)
  • Prepare for and support client interactions (scheduling, agendas, materials, meeting notes, follow-ups)
  • Monitor risks and proactively resolve or elevate
  • Draft and refine reports, presentations, and client deliverables
  • Ensure consistency and quality across project outputs
  • Maintain organized documentation of project materials
  • Support the development of proposals

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong Organizational & Time Management Skills- Demonstrated ability to structure workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-Oriented- High level of accuracy and consistency, with a keen eye for quality and precision.
  • Clear, Concise Writing & Editing- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, and to edit written materials for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and tone.
  • Strong Verbal Communication- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients, and contribute effectively to discussions.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving- Capability to assess complex situations, identify potential solutions, and apply logical reasoning to drive informed decisions.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency- Skilled in Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, for the purposes of creating and editing reports and presentations, as well as maintaining documentation.
  • Team Collaboration & Independent Work- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, showing initiative and self-motivation.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary Sector Knowledge - Experience working or conducting research within the Canadian postsecondary education sector
  • Project Coordination - Experience coordinating project activities, timelines, deliverables, and communications across multiple contributors.
  • 13-month fixed-term position covering a parental leave, with an anticipated start date of November 2, 2026
  • Salary of $60,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience
