Job summary

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex technology projects with engineers and designers. You will provide leadership, align stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives to move products and processes forward.

The role requires PMP or equivalent, 5+ years of PM experience and 10+ years in engineering/management, plus hardware and embedded software know-how.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Engineering or Computer Science.
• PMP or equivalent designation; relevant experience considered in lieu.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience; 10+ years combined engineering/management.
• Hardware and embedded software development experience.

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for a Project Manager, to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company that is committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement. You will work with a talented team of Engineers and Designers to lead the detailed planning and execution of a variety of complex technology projects. Drawing on your high caliber project management skills and experience, you will provide leadership, and support strategic initiatives to move our products and processes forward. The Location:This position is based in Calgary, Alberta and follows a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for these activities:

• Orchestrate and guide alignment between different stakeholders in multiple business groups
• Provide leadership on product development projects by directing the project schedule, scope, cost and quality to deliver exceptional products aligned with business needs
• Effectively collaborate with key groups and cross-functional development teams to ensure project success using project planning, monitoring and control activities
• Proactively monitor, control, communicate, and respond to project issues and risks
• Drive process improvement, leveraging system thinking and effective change management

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Post-secondary education in Engineering or Computer Science
• PMP or equivalent designation. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies
• Minimum of 5-years of project management experience and at least 10 years of combined engineering and management experience in a product development environment
• Hardware and embedded software development experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate work in a cross-functional, cross-site team
• Strong interpersonal skills for fostering productive relationships and creating a collaborative working atmosphere
• Able to analyze, communicate, and address complex issues
