Marketing Coordinator and Project Support

If you are a Project Manager with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with projects in the capacity as a project manager or project controller, you may be a fit for us and us a fit for you. It goes without saying that as a project manager, you aren’t of faint heart or afraid of difficult conversations, that’s why you became a project manager after all, right? We have a diverse client base which offers a wide variety of opportunities to expand on your established skill sets, as well as many opportunities for you to enter new areas of the project lifecycle. We are looking for individuals that are trained project managers from an accredited course. Ideally you would be a PMI recognized PMP or CAPM. A background in engineering or engineering technology is an asset since our work is technical in nature and as PM’s we deal with technical people who have been placed in PM roles. If you are not a PMP or a CAPM you must be prepared to certify or be in the process of getting your certification. This is non-negotiable since we want to ensure that you are a trained professional and understand the vocabulary of our chosen profession.

This is primarily an in-office role due to project requirements; however, BTI does allow for flexible working arrangements based on project requirements and the PMO’s comfort with the PM’s abilities.

Training and experience in the following are considered assets:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs (Solid grasp of Word and Excel is a must). This requirement is an imperative due to the reporting and tracking requirements we have.
• MS Project, including resourcing, planning, tracking, and reporting.
• PMP or CAPM
• Technical diploma or engineering degree in electrical, automation, or instrumentation.

All identified skills will be evaluated during the interview process for those that have been selected to proceed.

Individuals must be legally entitled to work in Canada without corporate or personal sponsorship and are eligible to work in the USA and abroad. You must be in Calgary or surrounding areas or be willing to relocate at your own expense to fulfill this role. Potential team members will be required to fulfill all aspects of the project they are assigned to from initiating, development, implementation, testing out to the field on rotation for commissioning. Going that extra mile when the job, schedule, or client requires it, is part of the job description.
