Our client is a family-owned and operated company with a strong reputation for quality work, teamwork, and integrity. They’re looking for a Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, supporting a variety of ongoing projects within a collaborative and down-to‑earth environment.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys taking ownership from start to finish, and takes pride in leading teams and building strong relationships on and off the job site. You’ll manage multiple projects, visit active sites, and provide hands‑on support to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The successful candidate is confident yet approachable, communicates effectively, and can think on their feet to solve challenges as they arise. A proactive, self‑directed personality and genuine commitment to teamwork will be key to success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Oversee day‑to‑day project operations and provide guidance and support to field and office staff
  • Review and interpret project contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure full understanding of scope and deliverables
  • Conduct detailed material takeoffs and prepare orders ahead of project start‑up
  • Create purchase orders for approval and ensure timely delivery of required materials
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress, milestones, and labour requirements
  • Prepare and process change orders, site instructions, and cost adjustments as needed
  • Manage project billing cycles, including monthly progress claims and monitoring cash flow
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and clear communication throughout each project
  • Participate in site meetings and provide updates on project status, risks, and resource needs
  • Identify potential challenges early and implement proactive solutions to avoid delays or cost impacts

Education:

  • Red Seal in relevant industry is a strong asset

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to get to and from various work sites
  • Must be able to obtain a clear RCMP background check

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management is required
  • Experience within Plumbing or HVAC is preferred, though experience in a related construction industry will also be considered
