Job summary

Alstar Group of Companies Ltd. in Calgary seeks a seasoned Project Manager to set up, monitor, analyze, and forecast complex oil and gas construction projects up to $50M.

You will chair review meetings, manage client interfaces, review obligations, and drive risk management in a fast-paced modular construction environment on-site at Calgary's largest module and-prefabrication operation. Qualifications

  • PMP Certification an asset.
  • Technical Diploma or Trade Certification an asset.
  • 5+ years of management experience in an oil & gas construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, monitor, analyze, and forecast projects of greater complexity and project values up to $50M
  • Review and process Purchase Orders and invoices and approve within signing authority
  • Chair project review meetings, lessons learned meetings, kick-off meetings
  • Active change management
  • Accurate project status reports, timely identification of variances and development of risk control strategies
  • Provide interface with client
  • Vendor Management
  • Work with project coordinator staff as assigned to the project (Cost Reporting, Project Reporting, Scheduling, etc.)
  • Establish a project plan for each project, defining the project's goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, and deliverables
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of the company's project portfolio, ranging from strategic planning initiatives to tactical activities
  • Track all project costs to ensure completion within budget

Who You Are:

The Project Manager is accountable for setting up, monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting projects, chairing project review meetings, and providing interface with clients, achieving the required outcomes with time spans of up to two years.
