Job summary

Katalyst CRO in Alliston, Ontario seeks a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end equipment design and integration for engine die cast, fabrication, and assembly lines.

You will develop concept-to-installation plans, perform basic sizing calculations, create Pneumatic/Hydraulic drawings, and coordinate with suppliers and global vendors to ensure on-time procurement, commissioning, and production readiness.

Qualifications

  • Experience taking design from concept through manufacturing and installation.
  • Ability to size machine components with basic engineering calculations.
  • Strong collaboration with production teams, equipment suppliers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of engine die cast, machining, and assembly line equipment projects.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resource planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate with customer Production Engineering teams, suppliers, and global vendors.
  • Drive FAT, SAT, commissioning, production trials, and launch support activities.
  • Create pneumatic/hydraulic drawings for equipment functions and concept-building using SolidWorks.

Job description

  • Engine Die cast line equipments and specification document creation.
  • Engine Die cast machining line equipments and specification document creation.
  • Engine Assembly line equipments and specification document creation.
  • Pneumatic/Hydraulic drawings for the equipment functions.
  • Concept building using solidwork.
  • Experience in taking design from concept through manufacturing and installation.
  • Able to perform basic engineering calculations to size machine components.
  • Able to analyze problems and implement improvements in existing designs and equipment.
  • Responsible for leading end-to-end execution.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resource planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Coordinate withcustomer Production Engineering teams, equipment suppliers, and global vendors to ensure on-time equipment procurement, installation, and production readiness.
  • Drive FAT, SAT, commissioning, production trials, and launch support activities.
  • SOFTWARES: Catia v5, Solidworks, AutoCAD (MUST), MS OFFICE (MUST)
