Senior Project Manager – EPC & Nuclear Infrastructure

Location : Bowmanville, ON (100% Onsite)

Overview

We are seeking experienced Project Leaders to manage large-scale Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects at the Darlington site. This position will lead projects through all phases – from initiation and planning to execution, commissioning, and closeout – ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full lifecycle project management for assigned EPC projects, from concept to completion.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and forecasts to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
• Administer EPC contracts, including review and approval of vendor invoices, tracking purchase orders, and managing change orders.
• Lead risk management activities, maintain project risk registers, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Act as the primary liaison between Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and vendor stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Oversee and support field execution teams, fulfilling Field Team Lead (FTL) and Modification Team Lead (MTL) responsibilities as required.
• Develop and present business cases to secure project funding and resources.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior staff and project team members.
• Support the Section Manager with reporting, resource planning, and administrative functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience in large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects.
• Strong background in installation, commissioning, cost control, and schedule management for EPC projects.
• Proven experience managing electrical systems and components; familiarity with major manufacturers’ equipment preferred.
• Skilled in developing estimates, execution plans, contracting strategies, and forecasts.
• Demonstrated experience with risk management, field execution, and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with ECC processes and work planning systems considered an asset.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence diverse teams.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or equivalent preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
