Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the manager of the Engineering Skill Management (ESM) team, contribute to successfully implement initiatives and tools that encourage knowledge transfer, professional development, and career exploration throughout the engineering community with the intent to meet our team long term vision of “Enriching Engineering employees for the next challenge”.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Engineering Talent Management Roadmap, focusing on New Program Development, Sustaining Engineering, Aftermarket, and Defense sectors.
  • Propose and scope strategic initiatives aligned with the organization’s 5-year vision, including detailed 18-month implementation plans, budget and resources requirements.
  • Lead key strategic initiatives under the three core pillars of Engineering Talent Management: Knowledge Management & Workforce Planning, Engineering Training Programs, Career Development Pathways.
  • Present to leadership, influence and align cross-functional talent initiatives to ensure consistency with the broader engineering vision and organizational goals.
  • Communicate with Knowledge Owners, Fellows and other experts within the Engineering community to obtain feedback and buy-in on initiatives led by the ESM team.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and present actionable recommendations to the leadership team to support decision-making.
  • Define, monitor, and report on KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of engineering talent management initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members in the execution of their respective projects, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Qualifications
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or relevant diploma with equivalent working experience
  • You have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in project or program management
  • You have experience at Bombardier in Engineering, Program or Defense and have knowledge of our environment
  • You have experience in project scheduling (creating, executing and monitoring schedule) and providing project status to all levels of management.
  • You have excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work in a dynamic and flexible environment
  • You have the ability to lead teams informally to achieve objectives, foster teamwork by networking, discovering synergies and leveraging resources
  • You have the ability to delegate tasks and activities while keeping ownership for the overall success of the objectives.
  • You are self-motivated, autonomous, enthusiastic and results oriented.
