A leading industrial contractor in Canada is seeking a Field HR Specialist responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives at project locations. This role involves partnering with management on HR-related issues, driving talent management, and ensuring workplace effectiveness. The Field HR Specialist is responsible for aligning HR strategies with the business objectives at a project location. This role will serve as a business partner to management and leadership teams on human resource related issues. The Field HR Specialist will assess and anticipate HR-related needs and will then partner and proactively communicate with our HR support teams. This individual will also work closely with our safety, payroll and financial services teams and will demonstrate passion to meet and exceed construction HR needs and the driven challenges they represent.
Kiewit Energy Canada is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. We are a major industrial contractor that work on projects that involve construction of oil & gas facilities such as oilsands processing, including steam–assisted gravity drainage facilities, upgrading & refining, midstream facilities, power & co-generation, terminal projects (ex. LNG, LPG, etc.), and major mine developments. We also have a Modular Yard facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Our engineering branch is a leading-edge division that offers innovative engineering services for our current projects and new pursuits in Canada. Our design services group are based in Calgary and Houston offering expertise in process, piping, mechanical, electrical and civil / structural disciplines.
The field location for this role is in Squamish, British Columbia. It is a 2 week on 1 week off rotation with camp accommodation. After this assignment, the next project could be anywhere in Canada. The ability to travel and relocate as‑needed is key for this role.
