A mining company based in Canada is seeking a Project Exploration Geologist to lead geological practices within its exploration programs. The ideal candidate will manage databases, prepare geological maps, and supervise drilling programs. Requires a Bachelor in Geology and 5-7 years of exploration experience. Reporting to the Manager, Exploration-Canada, the Project Exploration Geologist is part of SSR’s Au-Cu exploration programs and collaborates with other departments of the company. You will play an important role in leading geological practices in terms of data management, QA/QC, planning, target generation, logging and sampling, mapping, 3D implicit modelling, interpretations of models, in compliance with SSR’s best practices (including highest HSEC standards).
This position has a varied schedule. During active drilling and field programs, a 2x2 rotation based out of our remote exploration camps or the Seabee mine site. You will be required to fly in fly out of Saskatoon. During off seasons, a Monday to Friday schedule is in effect.
