Job summary

ATHA Energy Corp. seeks Project Geologists to support nationwide exploration programs across Canada, including the Angilak area and remote sites in Saskatchewan. The role involves planning field programs, geological mapping, and supervising field teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Geology or related discipline.
• 5+ years mineral exploration experience.
• Knowledge of uranium deposit models and remote exploration.
• Experience managing exploration and drilling programs in remote environments.
• Proficiency with Leapfrog Geo, ArcGIS or QGIS.
• APEGS registration eligibility and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field programs including geological mapping, prospecting, geochemical sampling, and drilling.
• Integrate geological datasets to identify and prioritize exploration targets.
• Provide geological oversight for field programs and activities.
• Develop 3D geological interpretations and models.
• Maintain QA/QC, data integrity, and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Prepare geological maps, cross-sections, and exploration reports.
• Mentor junior geologists and field staff on logging and sampling.
• Collaborate with environmental, permitting, and health & safety teams.

ATHA Energy Corp. is seeking Project Geologists to support its exploration programs across Canada.

Project Geologists will plan and safely execute exploration programs, supervise field teams and contractors, and deliver technically sound interpretations and recommendations. The successful candidate will have strong experience with exploration methods, excellent field judgment, and the ability to communicate geological concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field programs, including geological mapping, prospecting, geochemical sampling, and drilling.
• Integrate multiple geological datasets to identify and prioritize exploration targets.
• Provide geological oversight and supervision for all field programs and activities.
• Integrate and interpret multiple geological datasets within a 3D geological framework.
• Maintain high standards for data collection, validation, quality assurance and quality control, database integrity, and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Prepare geological maps, cross-sections, three-dimensional models, technical presentations, exploration reports, and recommendations for follow-up work.
• Mentor junior geologists and field personnel while promoting consistent geological logging, sampling, and documentation practices.
• Work collaboratively with environmental, permitting, community relations, health and safety, and project development teams.
• Ensure all exploration activities are completed in accordance with company procedures, applicable regulations, radiation-protection requirements, and environmental commitments.
• Promote a field culture built on safety, integrity, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Geology, Geological Sciences or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of mineral exploration experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of uranium deposit models, such as unconformity-related, sandstone-hosted, basement-hosted, intrusive-related, or other relevant systems.
• Proven experience managing exploration and drilling programs in remote environments.
• Strong skills in geological mapping, structural interpretation, drill-core logging, sampling, and target generation.
• Experience integrating geophysical and geochemical datasets into geological interpretations.
• Working knowledge of exploration quality assurance and quality control, database management, and technical reporting standards.
• Proficiency with relevant geological and spatial software, such as Leapfrog Geo, ArcGIS or QGIS, or comparable platforms.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to and work at remote exploration sites.
• Ability to complete physically demanding fieldwork and work rotational schedules when required.
• Eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).

Previous experience inuranium explorationand with software such asLeapfrog Geo, QGIS/ArcGIS and MX Depositwould be considered assets.
