Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Project Financial Advisor in Canada to strengthen financial data, guide project teams, and enable informed decisions throughout the full project lifecycle.

You will oversee a portfolio of projects, lead financial reviews, and collaborate with delivery teams to update forecasts and maintain cost controls. The role requires a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in project accounting, with fluency in English and French to communicate across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project accounting and financial and operational management.
• Knowledge of the professional services sector, project accounting, revenue recognition, costing, and ERP systems.
• Ability to analyze cost and revenue variances, estimates at completion, work in progress, accounts receivable, and financial risks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools; knowledge of Oracle is an asset for supporting delivery teams.
• Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial performance of a portfolio of projects delivered by multiple project managers and business units, from setup through closeout.
• Lead financial reviews to ensure compliance with accounting standards and WSP policies, and accurate recording of costs and revenue.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to update estimates at completion, forecasts, risk registers, and revenue adjustments, and resolve profitability, cash flow, and reporting issues.
• Strengthen the quality of contractual data by validating pricing, costs, margins, amendments, change orders, purchase orders, and billing terms.
• Guide project managers in the use of Oracle, dashboards, and analytical tools, while supporting audits, accruals, and month-end close activities.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $80,800 - $107,000

MB & ON: $73,700 - $101,500

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $73,000 - $96,900
