Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Financial Advisor to support the financial health of projects across Canada. You will bring clarity to project financials, help teams stay on track, and enable leaders to make informed decisions.

The role involves oversight of projects with PMs across units, attending financial status meetings, leading reviews, and ensuring compliance with policies. You will work with Oracle and ERP systems, and assist with audits and month-end close.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in administration or accounting is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in project accounting and financial/operational management.
• Knowledge of professional services industry and ERP systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and oversight on a portfolio of projects across business units.
• Attend regular meetings with the Project Delivery Team on financial status.
• Lead financial reviews to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist Project Managers through the financial lifecycle of a project.
• Ensure timely recording of all cost and revenue transactions.
• Assist with project audits and with estimates to complete.
• Train teams on project analysis tools and ERP systems.
• Support month-end close activities.
