BWXT in Canada is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to create and maintain project schedules, working closely with the Project Manager and leads across departments to assess progress and resolve issues.

MAJOR DUTIES:
The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules, working closely with the Project Manager and Director/Manager/Leads of various departments to assess project progress, identify issues & liaison between departments to facilitate solutions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Education:
A post secondary education, including but not limited to, Materials Management or equivalent with practical working knowledge of MRP, shop floor control or manufacturing controls systems.
Experience:
Three + years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset but not essential for the successful candidate. Experience with computerized database systems is required. Primavera and Planview are an asset and Microsoft Project and Excel and are required. An understanding of common business practices relating to materials management, production control, logistics and procurement is essential. The Junior Project Controls Specialist will have a desire to learn, the ability to adapt to various situations and a high degree of professionalism. Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
