Job summary

Metro Vancouver’s Liquid Waste Services Department is seeking a Project Engineer to join the CP2i team, supporting capital project initiation, design, construction, and commissioning. You will work on conveyance infrastructure projects and collaborate across departments to deliver high-impact public works.

The role requires a BASc in engineering, P.Eng eligibility, and strong project management, communication, and team leadership skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Applied Sciences in engineering; professional registration with EGBC or eligible.
P.Eng. eligibility with EGBC.
Interdisciplinary knowledge across civil, environmental, mechanical, geotechnical, structural, electrical fields.
Ability to manage scope, schedule and budget across complex projects.
Strong communication and report writing skills.
Experience with contract administration and project management.

Responsibilities

Perform scope definition, design, specifications, contract administration, and construction management.
Manage capital projects from initiation through construction and commissioning.
Work on multiple projects with emphasis on conveyance infrastructure.
Communicate project findings to stakeholders via presentations and reports.
Track finances and monitor schedules and costs; provide recommendations.
Liaise with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and the public.
