Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Halifax is seeking a Project Engineer to support cutting-edge naval programs like the Arctic Offshore Patrol Ship. In this role, you will manage parts catalogues, ensure data integrity, and guide stakeholders in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates will have an Engineering degree, strong problem-solving skills, and experience in data management. This position requires a full-time, in-office commitment and adherence to security regulations.

Qualifications

  • Background in engineering, planning, procurement, or data analysis required.
  • Strong understanding of ISI processes for parts and data management essential.
  • Must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and ITAR.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer and maintain parts catalogues from design agent systems to ERM planning.
  • Analyze data integrity and resolve issues with design agents.
  • Guide stakeholders on BOM transfers and storage best practices.
  • Act as the bridge between internal teams and external partners.
  • Empower team members through mentorship and regular check-ins.

Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of technical project management and business support, ensuring seamless integration and data quality across critical systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Parts Catalogue Management: Transfer and maintain parts catalogues from design agent systems to ERM planning and procurement platforms.
  • Data Quality Champion: Analyze data integrity, resolve issues with design agents, and ensure completeness and alignment.
  • Technical Advisor: Guide stakeholders on BOM transfers, 3D model viewer content, storage best practices, and update cycles.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the bridge between internal teams and external partners, including vendors and design agents.
  • Team Leadership: Empower your team through regular check‑ins, scope reviews, task assignments, and mentorship to unlock their full potential.
