Our head office and shop is located in the beautiful Fraser Valley, just an hour east of our Vancouver office, and close to the growing Abbotsford airport. Our US office is located in Seattle, WA and European office in Trento, Italy.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our growing East Coast team. StructureCraft is based in Abbotsford, BC Canada, but this role will be a remote opportunity to assist in timber construction projects across the East Coast, USA. This position will interface directly with our clients while reporting to Project Management team, and works closely with all StructureCraft departments to deliver high quality wood structures safely, on time and on budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Working closely with a Project Manager on larger projects or in a leadership capacity on smaller projects.
  • Plan, direct and lead in the delivery of timber construction projects from award to completion while achieving safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
  • Define tasks and required resources.
  • Prepare and manage project budget, schedule of values, progress billing and change orders.
  • Create schedules and coordinate SC resources to meet project deliverables.
  • Understand project scope and contract terms to ensure full compliance.
  • Prepare RFQ’s, evaluate bids, prepare POs and Subcontracts, set and track delivery milestones.
  • Track and report on project deliverables.
  • Lead quality assurance.
  • Provide onsite construction support.
  • Present to management reports on progress as well as problems and solutions.
  • Manage project changes and delays to ensure that SC is fairly compensated.
  • Accurately estimate changes within contract requirements.
  • Evaluate and assess results of project.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Engineering.
  • Some construction related project experience.
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Excellent resource, planning, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong skills in Word, Excel and MS Project (or similar scheduling software)
  • Travel will be required for this position.
TRAVEL:
  • Role will be a mix of remote (work from home), as well as full-time site location travel, as projects require.
  • Expect firsthand, on-site experience across the East Coast

We offer a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits package. In addition, a premium of 30% increase in pay when working extended periods on site.
