The Role
We are currently looking to add an experienced Project Coordinator to support our Midstream division on various industrial and heavy civil construction projects. Reporting to the Area Construction Manager and Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will provide ongoing project management administrative support to the project management and field teams. The ideal candidate has a CET diploma or an engineering degree and is used to working on site.
This is a project-based position in the Grande Prairie / Dawson Creek region.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist PM with defining the scope of work portions of contracts; assist with bid evaluations and reviewing and overseeing subcontractors
- Assist PM with progress billing, contract review, and change order preparation as required
- Monitor daily progress of job(s) and/or project(s); report on progress, schedule and budget as required
- Work closely with the PM and site supervision to ensure the safe and effective execution of the overall project plan
- Collaborate with Construction Management to participate in workforce planning for manpower, materials, logistics, equipment and subcontracts
- Write RFI’s and quality control documents
Education/Skills/Qualifications
- CET, EIT or P Eng. with a focus in civil or mechanical
- PMP designation is considered an asset
- Advanced technical computer skills (Microsoft suite, Google Platform, Bluebeam)
- 1 - 3 years of on-site project management experience in industrial, civil, mechanical or piping construction is an asset
- Must have safety tickets: WHMIS 2015, CSTS, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance II
- Proficient in interpretation of engineered drawings and specifications
- Understanding of Quantity Surveying
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Understanding of commonly used scheduling or estimating software
- Self-motivated, hard-working professional able to converse with and build relationships with diverse people quickly
- Ability to problem solve and work under pressure
- Must complete safety training and orientations as per client and OCL requirements prior to accessing site
- May be required to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to accessing site
