Qualifications

  • 3 years of project control experience, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Experience in a mining, industrial, construction environment or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Must be open to working at any of the underground mine sites.

About the Role

Currently, we are seeking a motivated Project Controls to join our growing team in order to support our Project Manager with our projects in Ontario. The key responsibilities of a Project Controls include, but are not limited to:

  • Auditing, mentoring, and executing new job entries in system
  • Audit & Review Invoicing and report to client on Key Performing Indicators & Schedule Performing Index
  • Forecasting and equipment allocation for projects
  • Completing FWI’s, contract changes, and procurement approvals
  • Monitoring and reporting on monthly budget and production variances
  • Completing job closeouts and final reporting
  • Mentor, train, and develop, Project Coordinators
  • Be involved in development, testing and implementation of new control process, strategies, and optimization of standards
  • Report to the Project Manager and provide support to the Superintendents and Project Coordinators
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Mining Engineering Technology or B. Eng in Mining Engineering
  • 3 years of project control experience, preferably in the mining industry
  • Experience in a mining, industrial, construction environment or manufacturing is preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Excel and tools such as MS Project, etc.
  • Strong mentorship, communication and leadership skills and ability to interact and engage with cross functional teams
  • Demonstrates initiative with the ability to prioritize, stay organized and work independently in a demanding fast-paced environment
  • Must be open to working at any of the underground mine sites, in Sudbury, that Technica operates at
