We are seeking to hire full-time personnel for the role: Project Archaeologist, Field Lead, to join our Archaeology team in Ontario. An individual in this role will be highly organized and self‑motivated. Your expertise will be utilized in all parts of Ontario, from urban core brownfields to fly‑in only wilderness, for a wide array of private and public sector clients.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals while taking on increasing responsibility across a diverse range of sectors and projects. The successful candidate will be encouraged to broaden their technical expertise, develop strong project leadership capabilities, and gain exposure to the many inter‑related facets of archaeological consulting. We are looking for individuals who are interested not only in delivering high‑quality archaeological work today, but also in continuing to expand their capabilities and contribution to the Stantec archaeology team.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology, or equivalent, is required
Professional or Research Archaeology License issued by the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism, in good standing, is required
Minimum of five (5) years of cultural resource management experience required, with a minimum of two (2) years of archaeological Field Supervision experience

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
