Position Overview
BAM is looking for a highly organized and proactive Project and Workforce Development Manager with strong project management skills. This role is responsible for leading multiple projects and workforce development projects from planning through execution, working closely with the President and CEO, industry partners, members, and training providers. The core element and emphasis for this position are project leadership, budget management, reporting, and partnership building.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead multiple small-to-medium-sized projects within set timelines, deliverables, and set budgets.
- Collaborate with the President and CEO to set project priorities and align with BAM’s strategic goals.
- Track progress, identify risk, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule.
- Oversee project reporting, including government and internal reporting requirements.
Workforce Development
- Act as a liaison between industry, training providers, and BAM committees to coordinate approved programming.
- Develop and implement strategies to support workforce initiatives for new entrants, underrepresented groups, and existing professionals.
- Contribute to BAM communications through newsletters, presentations, and promotional materials highlighting workforce programs.
Budget and Financial Management
- Develop and manage set budgets for multiple projects, tracking expenditures and ensuring alignment with financial plans
- Collaborate with the President and CEO to prepare financial and other reports.
Partnership Development and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with industry, community organizations, and training providers.
- Represent BAM at industry events, networking opportunities, and youth engagement initiatives.
- Act as BAM’s representative on external committees and networks related to workforce development.
Data Management and Reporting
- Track program metrics, participation, and outcomes to assess impact.
- Maintain detailed records using Excel and other tools, including pivot tables and data analysis.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven project management experience, preferably with multiple small-medium-sized projects.
- Experience in workforce development, training, or human resources in a business or industry context.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience building partnerships and engaging stakeholders.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to balance long-term initiatives with day-to-day operations.
- Previous experience in health, agriculture, or clean biotechnology is considered an asset.

- Competitive salary ($70,000 – $75,000)
- Flexible work schedule with 2 days work from home (Wednesday & Friday)
- Time off between December Holidays and New Year’s and Friday’s off in August (no PTO use required)
- Paid time off
- Standard hours of work: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
