Job Summary

The Analyst is responsible for research, analysis and written correspondence in support of ongoing resource / investments planning and reporting requirements.

Major Responsibilities
  • Conduct research by analyzing and compiling information and by preparing reports for the section.
  • Monitor the ongoing reporting requirements pertaining to resource/investments planning function.
  • Analyze, identify and compile information to respond to internal and external resource/investments planning and reporting enquiries.
  • Conduct research, gather data for the preparation of briefing notes/messages/reports/letters and other correspondences on a host of issues.
  • Develop, monitor and maintain integrated information databases, desk procedures and project schedules.
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external clients by using appropriate software.
  • Edit and review reports by proofreading.
  • Liaise with other Branches and other Government Departments/Agencies to obtain information.
  • Participate and assist in the preparation of CSIS Treasury Board Submissions and/or in the Investment Review Committee meetings and related processes.
Education
  • Undergraduate degree and one (1) year of experience*, or
  • College diploma (2‑year program) and three (3) years of experience*, or
  • High school diploma and five (5) years of experience*

The Undergraduate degree/College Diploma must be obtained from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada. If you completed a program outside of Canada you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.

Experience
  • Experience in research and analysis where you compile, review and make recommendations or decisions.
  • Experience in consulting and collaborating with internal or external stakeholders.
  • Experience in planning and preparing communication materials, such as presentations or articles.
  • Experience drafting and editing a wide variety of documents such as written correspondence, briefing notes, emails, plans or reports.

Security Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to receive an Enhanced Top Secret security clearance.
