Qualifications

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and post GST returns and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update customer records.
  • Support audits and provide required documentation.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Project Accounting Administrator to support our project and finance teams by ensuring accurate and timely processing of project‑related financial data. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of project invoicing, processing invoices and providing administrative support for project accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review and process project invoices in accordance with contract terms and client requirements, including statutory declarations.
  • Monitor and track billing milestones and assist with revenue recognition processes, including preparing periodic aging reports.
  • Arrange, collect, deposit invoice payments and communicate weekly accounts receivable (AR) status.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end close processes including:
  • Prepare and post GST returns to be filed and paid by the controller.
  • Prepare and post bank reconciliation.
  • Inter‑company reconciliations for invoices, equipment, labour, G&A, rental invoices, capital lease obligations and lease amortizations.
  • Posting monthly trucking invoices.
  • Collecting, depositing, tracking and communicating weekly accounts receivables.
  • Maintain and update customer records including contact information and payment terms.
  • Support audits and provide required documentation for project‑related inquiries.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, document control and filing.
  • Prepare ad‑hoc reports as required.
Qualifications
Education

Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field preferred.

Experience

2 years of experience in accounting or administrative support preferably in a project‑based or construction/engineering environment.
