Job description

Program Manager, Launching Canada's First Stablecoin

Join to apply for the Program Manager, Launching Canada's First Stablecoin role at Tetra Digital Group.

Tetra is leading the charge in Canada’s digital asset revolution, solving one of the final barriers to widespread institutional adoption: secure, compliant custody. With $10 million in backing from powerhouses like ATB Financial, National Bank, Shopify, and Wealthsimple, we’re launching Canada’s first regulated stablecoin and scaling beyond custody into a multi‑billion‑dollar ecosystem. Founded in 2019 under Tetra Digital Group, we’re building the world’s premier institutional‑grade digital asset infrastructure with the stability of a financially robust organization and the high‑octane agility of a startup with world‑class potential.

Who You Are

You’re a high‑octane, forward‑thinking professional with a relentless drive to accelerate your career and make a transformative impact. As our Program Manager for the preparation and rollout of Canada’s first stablecoin, you’ll report directly to the CEO, serving as a hands‑on leader in this groundbreaking initiative while collaborating with multiple large financial institutions, influential stakeholders, and sophisticated shareholders. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, crave opportunities to learn and grow quickly, and are ready to level up our organization in record time. With a strong blend of strategic mindset, deep experience in the financial institution sector and digital assets, extreme accountability, and exceptional execution skills, you’re poised to drive this first‑of‑its‑kind program in Canada from concept to launch. This isn’t just a job, it’s a launchpad to a senior leadership role within 18–24 months for someone who’s competent, experienced, a hard worker, flexible, solutions‑oriented, and resourceful in finding ways to deliver results no matter the stakes.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Program Leadership & Execution: Lead the end‑to‑end preparation and rollout of Canada’s first stablecoin issued by a financial institution, ensuring seamless alignment between the CEO, financial institution partners, stakeholders, and shareholders. Drive the execution of program milestones, proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks to achieve a successful launch.
  • Decision Support: Prepare high‑impact briefings, analyses, and recommendations to empower data‑driven decisions at the executive and board levels. Translate complex regulatory, technical, and market data into actionable insights that shape the stablecoin’s strategic direction.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination: Lead high‑priority, cross‑functional projects involving sensitive regulatory and compliance matters. Coordinate with teams across product, operations, compliance, legal, and marketing, as well as external partners like banks and fintechs, to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and exceed expectations.
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline processes and enhance information flow for the stablecoin program across Tetra’s holding company and subsidiaries. Establish and track KPIs to provide clear visibility into program performance and drive accountability.
  • Stakeholder Management: Organize and oversee meetings with large financial institutions, influential stakeholders, and shareholders. Ensure clear outcomes, track action items, and follow through to maintain momentum on critical priorities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the CEO in interactions with internal and external stakeholders, building trust and fostering strong relationships with partners, clients, and industry leaders in the digital assets space.
  • Market & Industry Insights: Stay ahead of trends in stablecoins, digital assets, blockchain, and fintech regulations. Provide actionable insights to refine strategies, identify new opportunities, and ensure the stablecoin maintains a competitive edge in Canada and beyond.
  • Travel & Representation: Support the CEO with up to 30% travel to key locations like Calgary, Montreal, and beyond for high‑stakes meetings, conferences, and industry events, amplifying Tetra’s presence in the global fintech ecosystem.
What We’re Looking For
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a strong asset.
Experience:
  • 8+ years in program management, operations, consulting, or financial services/fintech, with a proven track record of driving complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives in the financial institution sector.
  • 3+ years in digital assets, blockchain, or stablecoins, ideally in an institutional context (e.g., custody, trading platforms, or DeFi solutions).
  • Demonstrated success in translating strategy into execution, delivering measurable results in high‑growth, fast‑paced environments.
  • Experience working with senior executives, large financial institutions, and influencing outcomes across diverse teams and sophisticated stakeholders/shareholders.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting compelling presentations and influencing at all levels.
  • High organizational aptitude, with a knack for managing competing priorities and thriving under pressure.
  • Deep understanding of the digital asset ecosystem, including blockchain technology, stablecoins, digital currencies, and DeFi.
  • Resourceful, hands‑on mindset with a bias for action, extreme accountability, and exceptional execution skills.
  • Forward‑thinking approach, with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Proven ability to build trust and manage relationships with institutional clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Hard‑working, flexible, and solutions‑oriented, with resourcefulness in finding ways to deliver results no matter the stakes.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in tools like Google Suite, Microsoft Office, project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Trello), and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and basic financial modeling is a plus.

Nice to Have: Multilingual skills and/or experience in international markets. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in financial services or digital assets.

What’s In It for You
  • Be a Trailblazer: Shape Canada’s financial frontier with groundbreaking initiatives like our stablecoin launch and ecosystem expansions.
  • Unmatched Opportunity: Join a profitable, well‑funded company with the stability of a market leader and the flexibility of a startup with global potential.
  • Competitive Rewards: Earn a competitive salary, equity stock options, comprehensive benefits.
  • High‑Impact Team: Collaborate with top‑tier talent in a fast‑paced, innovative environment where your contributions redefine an industry.
  • Location & Work Model: Based in Toronto or Calgary with a hybrid work model (minimum 3 days in‑office per week) upon successful completion of probationary period. Full‑time in‑office work required during the first three months for onboarding and training. Expect up to 30% travel to support the CEO in key locations like Calgary, Montreal, and beyond.
