Job summary

Google Public Sector seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs from inception to launch, coordinating requirements, schedules and risks with cross-functional partners across the company.

You will bridge business needs and technical execution, ensure contractual obligations are met, mentor junior TPMs, and drive scalable AI/ML enabled workflows to improve program health and delivery across offices and time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in technical program management, software development, or related field.
• Experience with architectural design and technical system analysis.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing software/hardware projects from inception to launch.
• Experience delivering programs to meet contractual requirements in the public sector.

• Strong track record of navigating high-ambiguity environments and delivering results in a fast-paced, evolving landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to use data and AI/ML tools to analyze program health and optimize workflows.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Canada: $166000 - $170000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

• Apply development-level judgment to review architectures, shape technical specifications, and challenge assumptions to ensure robust scalability.
• Manage milestones, dependencies, and risks across cross-functional teams, translating high-level business objectives into actionable, multi-quarter execution roadmaps.
• Ensure strict adherence to contractual client commitments across all relevant Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statement of Works (SoWs), and order forms, actively identifying and closing delivery gaps.
• Implement modern AI/ML tooling to automate repetitive workflows, enhance data-driven decision-making, and boost team productivity.

Build consensus across development, product, finance, and legal while refining standard program management methodologies to maximize overall velocity and transparency.
