The Role

We are in search of an experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful customer program launches. Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems.

The Person

As a Program Manager you will partner with our cross functional teams to manage customer accounts and their portfolio, understand our customers platforms/solutions. Identify and document customer requirements and establish engineering schedules. Drive AMD product solution deliverables and alignment with customers’ platforms to ensure highest level customer satisfaction throughout their product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan the Instinct Driver and Radeon Software For Linux Releases
  • Receive release requests from internal stakeholders in various locations
  • Work with Release Management teams from other departments to construct the release plans
  • Communicate release plans and changes to internal teams
  • Lead and coordinate checklist and deployment plan execution
  • Manage risks and resolve challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
  • Ensure all the patches that need to go into the release are implemented in a timely manner
  • Coordinate validation with various QA teams to ensure that the releases are properly validated
  • Ensure that the necessary documentations are ready for release
  • Confirm that Release Notes are available and contain the necessary information for the release
  • Update our release processes to support changing requirements
Preferred Experience
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Linux distros highly preferred
  • Experience in software Release Management and understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Multiple experience in Program Management; formal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master considered an asset
  • Programming skills and experience considered an asset

Academic Credentials
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering
