A leading automation company in the Region of Waterloo is seeking a Project Finance Lead. This role involves providing financial insights for planning, overseeing revenue forecasting and budgeting for projects valued at 100-150 million annually. The project finance lead would be the finance business partner to the Program/ project managers of Cambridge Life Sciences systems responsible for > $150 Mn in annual revenue. The primary role is to translate the project team inputs into financial insights for planning and reporting purposes. You will provide financial and analytical support for the operations and sales activities within the division and be a critical part of the finance function.
A post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in accounting, finance or equivalent. A professional financial designation such as CA, CPA, CMA or CGA is a plus.
Experience:A minimum of 7 years experience in corporate finance. Manufacturing / cost accounting experience will be a plus. Individual must have an ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with people at all levels of the organization both verbally and in written form. Experience with PC based accounting systems and software tools are required. In addition, an ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance in a team oriented work environment is mandatory. Strong analytical, financial and accounting skills as well as an ability to significantly contribute to the management of the division are keys. Finally, person must be hands‑on and must be able to meet deadlines.
