A national sports organization in Canada seeks a Program Director for Rhythmic Gymnastics to lead a high-performance program. The ideal candidate has 7-10 years' experience in sports leadership, a strong understanding of Rhythmic Gymnastics, and exceptional organizational skills. This remote position requires limited domestic and international travel, focused on athlete-centered program delivery and collaboration throughout the national system.
Gymnastics Canada (GymCan) is the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in Canada, overseeing all Olympic disciplines including men’s (MAG) and women’s (WAG) artistic, rhythmic (RG), trampoline (TR), and the other world level disciplines. The Program Director, Rhythmic Gymnastics, will lead the transformation and delivery of Canada’s high performance program for rhythmic gymnastics. Reporting to the Senior Director, High Performance, this role requires a visionary leader who can drive change, influence stakeholders, and build strong alignment across the national system. The Program Director will play a critical role in overhauling the high-performance program – from grassroots development through to elite international performance – ensuring it is athlete-centered, coach‑and‑judge supported, a safe sport best practice and sustainable. The end goal is a robust high-performance system that is capable of Olympic qualification by 2032/6 with Own the Podium financial support.
Position is remotely based in Canada but domestic and limited international travel is required.
