Job summary

Canadian Red Cross in Medicine Hat, AB is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP). This in-person, temporary part-time role involves coordinating services, collaborating with volunteers, staff, and community partners to deliver compassionate and efficient care.

You will manage client service objectives, assist with scheduling, and monitor data entry for inventory and program tracking, while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint is required.
• Ability to manage program schedules and timelines; prioritize tasks, track progress, and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including telephone etiquette and the operations of a multi-line phone system.
• Demonstrate compassion, empathy and understanding for individuals with differing abilities.
• Experience working with diverse cultural populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that client service objectives and targets are met.
• Maintain highest level of quality assurance in all areas of client service.
• Support business in specific client service sites.
• Oversee data entry in management of computer inventory tracking and monitoring programs.
• Respond to program-specific and generic enquiries from clients, health professionals and the general public.
• Receive and respond to complaints regarding service provision.
• Participate in volunteer resource management cycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, selection, engagement, performance evaluation.
• Ensuring financial policies/procedures are followed in client service site.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to promote collaboration and community engagement.
