An Ontario educational institution is seeking a part-time Professor for Welding programs in Hamilton, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a valid Welder Certificate and experience as a certified Tradesperson, with a focus on creating an inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities include teaching both theoretical and practical components, and developing learning resources. This role emphasizes commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion within the academic community.
Status: Part Time
Hours: Teaching is normally scheduled between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, Monday – Friday
Home Campus: Stoney Creek
Rate of Pay: Upon hire, Human Resources will conduct a rate calculation based on completed education and work experience to determine the starting step

The Building Systems and Sustainability department within the Marshall School of Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship requires a part-time Professor and/or Instructor to teach in the Welding apprenticeship and/or post-secondary programs.
Under the direction of the Associate Dean, Professors and/or Instructors in this department are responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment using a blended model of presentation in classes.
Other teaching duties may be assigned within the Marshall School of Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship on an occasional basis as required by the College.
