Job summary

Referment is a fintech consulting partner delivering trade-surveillance solutions to leading financial institutions. In this client-facing role, you will translate surveillance needs into practical implementations, bridging finance, tech and commercial delivery.

You will analyze trade data, contribute to proof-of-concept work, and support onboarding from demonstrations to deployment, interacting with sales and engineering teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in financial markets and trading, risk, or quantitative analysis.
• Strong knowledge of fixed-income products and derivatives.
• Solid understanding of risk sensitivities such as Delta, Gamma and DV01.
• Hands-on programming or scripting ability in SQL, Python or C#.
• Clear communication to explain analysis to customers and internal stakeholders.

Job description

Referment is working with a financial technology business that provides trade-surveillance software to leading financial institutions. Its technology applies sophisticated financial modelling to identify potential market manipulation across individual products and related instruments.

This is a client-facing consulting role at the intersection of capital markets, technology and commercial delivery. You will work with prospective and newly signed customers from early demonstrations and proof-of-concept work through to implementation, translating trading activity and surveillance needs into a practical solution.

The position combines financial-markets analysis with hands-on technical work. You will build an understanding of the platform’s model-based surveillance approach, analyse customer trade data and work closely with sales and engineering colleagues to deliver projects to agreed deadlines.

The Role

• Engage directly with customers to understand their surveillance requirements and analyse the trade data behind them.
• Develop tailored customer presentations and deliver product demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects.
• Support new customers through onboarding and full implementation.
• Configure the system, run data batches and investigate technical issues arising during delivery.
• Create custom metrics and reports using the platform’s scripting capabilities.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering and other internal teams to keep multiple customer projects moving.

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience in financial markets gained in trading, risk, quantitative analysis or a closely related role.
• Strong knowledge of fixed-income products, including derivatives.
• A practical understanding of risk sensitivities such as Delta, Gamma and DV01.
• Hands-on ability with at least one programming or scripting language, such as SQL, Python or C#.
• The communication skills to explain complex analysis clearly to both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Evidence that you can prioritise competing customer needs and deliver projects against agreed timelines.
