Interior Health Authority in Salmon Arm, BC, seeks a Permanent Full Time Professional Practice Leader | Pharmacy to lead the hospital pharmacy team. You will oversee administration, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards while guiding clinical practice and collaborating with physicians and nursing leadership.

The role involves traveling to 100 Mile House, Williams Lake and Salmon Arm, with a Monday to Friday schedule and shift premiums in a dynamic hospital environment.

Formación

  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the BC College of Pharmacists.
  • Experience leading pharmacy teams in hospital settings.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and accrediting bodies.

About The Job

The Professional Practice Leader | Pharmacy is responsible for both administrative and professional leadership within the Pharmacy department. Administratively, this position oversees the department’s administration, supervision, planning, and budgeting, reporting directly to the Manager (or designate) and advising on budgets, workload, labor relations, and personnel matters. The Professional Practice Leader – Pharmacy ensures compliance with all institutional and College of Pharmacists of BC regulations, policies, and procedures.

Professionally, this position ensures that Pharmacy standards align with regulatory and accrediting body standards and relevant legislation. The role provides clinical guidance to Pharmacy staff, advancing pharmaceutical care within the hospital, and supports departmental and regional pharmacy initiatives through collaboration with local and regional pharmacy leaders, physicians, and nursing leaders to achieve overall goals and objectives.

This is a Permanent Full Time (1.00) opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.

  • There is travel associated with this position to 100 Mile House, Williams Lake and Salmon Arm.
