Job summary

A leading aircraft manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to resolve structural issues, support production and design processes, and collaborate with specialized teams. This role requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering and at least 5 years of MRB or 7 years of design experience in aerospace. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, understand aircraft structure requirements, and be able to work in a high-pressure environment. Qualifications

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Resolve fit, form or functional issues on aircraft components and for repairs required during the manufacture of the Bombardier Aerospace products.
  • Find solutions to any problem with the aircraft structure and/or systems that is reported and raise necessary documentation to overcome the problem quickly and efficiently.
  • Repair and/or salvage dispositions with respect to engineering specifications, concepts and integrity of design, as well as sign for dispositions on behalf of the engineering department.
  • Work closely with all specialists within engineering, such as Design, Stress, Materials Technology, Aerodynamics, Performance and others as required in order to problem solve and or address any problems reported.
  • Support production, design engineering, procurement & quality in coordinating resolutions to issues and providing corrective action involving engineering.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Provide status, updates & keep current on information regarding manufacturing changes & problems.
How to thrive in this role?
  • Hold a bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years MRB experience or seven (7) years design experience in aerospace.
  • Have excellent knowledge of aircraft structure & system installation technical requirements.
  • Have electrical & systems experience (considered an asset).
  • Be an energetic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a high‑pressure partner/supplier team environment.
