Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a casual/part-time Courier in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, to provide courteous package pick-up and delivery on assigned routes. You will check shipments, label correctly, and operate tracking systems while maintaining a professional appearance and customer-focused service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift heavy packages, and at least 1 year of customer-facing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or educational equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• One year of customer-oriented business experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset.
• Must achieve minimum threshold on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
• Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery on assigned routes and check shipments for conformance to FedEx Canada service features.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain a neat, clean appearance.
• Accurately select and inspect packages and report stop counts and misroutes.
• Load and secure packages, plan routes for efficient delivery and pick-up.
• Seek additional business from current customers and inform sales of leads and market changes.
• Ensure proper labeling and neat, accurate paperwork; provide shipping materials as required.
• Operate computerized tracking and dispatch systems and input correct information.
• Answer customers’ questions about FedEx Canada's features of service and keep them informed on company, Canada, US, and international requirements.
• Operate safely following government regulations and company procedures; assist with loading/unloading and sorting as workload dictates.
