The Production Technicain PO4 is responsible for supporting the cleaning of the manufacturing and warehousing facilities in compliance with cGMP, maintenance and other company and regulatory policies. The incumbent also is responsible for performing environmental monitoring testing and supports facility/safety PM execution within the facility.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for scheduling and performing cleaning and sanitation of manufacturing and warehousing areas with primary responsibility for common corridors, utility rooms, materials management controlled rooms and warehousing.
  • Ensuring manufacturing and warehousing areas are tidy and neat, escalation of items requiring repair i.e. insulation repairs, facility repairs to Maintenance department.
  • Responsible for providing support when required for the cleaning environmentally controlled production areas.
  • Responsible for performing Environmental testing of GMP rooms. Preparation of related reports as required.
  • Responsible for accurately completing all documentation relating to work activities according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and good documentation practises.
  • Responsible for reviewing the new and updated departmental SOP and attending all required training sessions.
  • Performs some winter control activities, including keeping the production and maintenance access routes free of snow and ice.
  • Monitor grounds of facility for cleanliness and repair, communicate required repair to Maintenance department, pick up garbage, empty garbages.
  • Performs inspections related to safety and premise PMs.
  • Completion of work orders or special requests for housekeeping or cleaning activities related to the manufacturing or warehousing facilities.
  • Troubleshoots simple and routine problems, such as reviewing the SOP or dealing with cleaning time constraints, with support from senior members of the team.
  • Reports any violations or non-compliance of procedures and policies to Supervisor.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the shift-to-shift technology transfer is properly completed with peers and that all pertinent information is passed to the incoming shift.

Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to read English and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
    • Must meet the minimum requirements of the physical demands analysis (PDA), including bending, squatting, lifting, pushing, walking and standing.
    • Ability to work primarily independently, manage work load and scheduling of priority tasks.
    • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is an asset.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in industrial cleaning
    • Previous experience with microbial (or other) sampling, preferably related to Environmental Testing.
