Job summary

YaYAFOODS in Ontario is seeking a Production Leader to guide the production team on multiple lines, train and develop staff, and drive a high-performance culture.

You will plan production operations, optimize materials, machines and labor, maximize OEE, ensure GMP and safety, and coordinate with shift leaders to meet customer requirements.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or business is required; strong leadership, critical thinking, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.

Reports to: Operations Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead the production teamonmultiple lines.
• Lead by example and train, develop, and inspire production team.
• Be instrumental in developing a high-performance team where all team members work coherently to “win” together.
• Plan production operations,establishingpriorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Develop plans for efficient use of material, machines,and labor.
• Responsible to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE)for the line.
• Review production orders or schedules toascertainproduct data such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery datesto plan department operations.
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and directs set-up and adjustments of machines.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Confer withshiftleaders andcoordinatesproduction to ensure product is ready per customer requirements.
• Observe allsafety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.
• Operate filler and downstream whenrequired.
• Maintain strict Good Manufacturing Practices(GMP).
• Compliancewith all rules & policiesregardinghealth safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
• Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree inengineering,business, or related fields
• Ability to apply critical thinkingskillsto solve problems

• Proficient computer skills(Microsoft Suite of Applications), and instructional software
• Good interpersonal skills and communicationskills to interactwith all levels of management
