Job description

Adecco is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Production Supply Logistics Analyst to join our client in the oil and natural gas sector, located in Calgary, AB. This customer service operations role is based in Calgary, with primary responsibilities for volumetric supply and forecasting of crude oil and diluent transported within the system, business systems, and industry and internal reporting. This position serves as a key liaison for shippers / customers, pipeline-connected facility operators, Midstream field personnel, and internal business stakeholders.

  • Location : Calgary, AB | Hybrid | 4 days in office, 1 day remote

Job type : Full-time | 1-year contract

Shifts : Monday – Friday | 8 hours / day

Duties and Responsibilities :

Model and track the flow of all physical fluid movements and manage contractual transactions through HMGP’s gathering systems and terminals to meet all customer and supply availability requirements.

Manage and report on all Midstream pipelines and terminals shipper positions to ensure balances and contracts are met.

Generate month-end volumetric accounting reports for all shippers / all products.

Conduct quarterly volumetric reforecasts, budgets, and long-range planning.

Manage system capacity and tools for restriction, curtailment, or apportionment activities.

Forecast and reconcile system balancing.

Administer and update the customer QuickConnect portal.

Serve as a liaison between shippers, pipeline-connected facility operators, and Husky Midstream field operations to manage throughput, shipper and connected facility nominations, and issues impacting the system.

Develop analytics, contingency / strategy plans, and participate in resolution and problem-solving to quickly and efficiently address pipeline sensitivities due to operational issues.

Manage volumetric forecasts and resolve nomination issues (daily, Forms A / C, quarterly, and budget).

Develop, operate, manage, and maintain the integrity of applications / workbooks.

Conduct reporting and audits for the Petroleum Registry, Internal Controls, and EPAP.

Act as a subject matter expert, administrator, and business tester for the Integrated Pipeline System (IPS).

Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements and Qualifications :

Post-secondary Business / Economics Degree / Certificate or 2+ years of related experience.

2 to 4 years of crude oil or related industry experience.

Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Developed qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.

Exceptional problem-solving skills with a reputation for being a team player.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, multi-tasking environment.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at various levels both internally and externally.

Ability to respond effectively and efficiently to the needs of diverse clients with a focus on customer service.

Orientation to results with comfort in providing and receiving constructive feedback.

Enthusiasm, a desire to learn, and flexibility to adapt to change.

Ability to adhere to Corporate, Midstream, and Industry Governance.

Weekend / after core business hours availability (issue and deadline-driven).

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

Nice to have :

Experience in oil blending or related industry.

Experience in crude oil logistics and forecasting.

Knowledge of pipeline systems operations and inventory management.

Comprehensive knowledge of industry reporting and procedures (Petroleum Registry, COLC, Petrinex).
