Job summary

IPEX by Aliaxis is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Edmonton plant. You will lead manufacturing operations, ensure safety, quality and cost objectives, and support continuous improvement initiatives on a 2-2-3 Continental Shift Structure.

The role reports to the Production Manager and involves coaching staff, scheduling resources, and driving performance improvement across production lines in a people-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, written and verbal communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Solid understanding of computers including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and output targets.
• Execute production schedules by optimizing labor resources, equipment utilization, and workflow.
• Lead shift transition meetings and communicate priorities, performance expectations, and operational updates.

• Coach, mentor, and develop production employees through performance management, training, and cross-functional skill development.

Job Summary

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives while supporting employee development and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position will be on a 2-2-3 Continental Shift Structure

Principal Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and output targets are achieved
• Execute production schedules by optimizing labor resources, equipment utilization, and workflow
• Lead shift transition meetings and communicate priorities, performance expectations, and operational updates
• Monitor production metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues and improve results
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and coordinate with Maintenance, Process Management, and other support teams to minimize downtime
• Analyze production reports, including output, scrap, downtime, and labor performance, to support data-driven decision-making
• Manage departmental resources, materials, and expenditures while supporting budget and cost-control initiatives
• Maintain compliance with quality standards, ISO requirements, and operational procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and audit readiness
• Coach, mentor, and develop production employees through performance management, training, and cross-functional skill development
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training activities to build a capable and engaged workforce
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
• Champion health, safety, and environmental programs by ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting incident investigations, and promoting safe work practices
• Lead 5S, standard work, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing safety, quality, productivity, and sustainability

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory capacity within a manufacturing environment
• Lean manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
• Excellent leadership/coaching, written & verbal communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
• A solid understanding of computers including Microsoft Office applications
