Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing various work areas, including but not limited to Laser, Brake, Saw teams. Leading and motivating the teams in these areas to achieve their performance goals, ensuring that product quality and process flow improves while maintaining and championing employee health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
Management
  • Lead, motivate and manage the performance of various work areas, including but not limited to Laser, Brake, Saw teams;
  • Supervise daily production activities to meet on time delivery targets and quality standards;
  • Coordinate and lead production team meetings;
  • Prepare and present applicable production reports;
  • Provide guidance to the teams, consistent with our operating system, policies and practices;
  • Coordinate and manage orientation, training and development of new hires;
  • Conduct performance assessments through formal and informal meetings (reviews, coaching, discipline etc.);
  • Monitor attendance and overtime hours;
  • Review and approve timesheets;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new projects, continuous improvements, and safety enhancements;
  • Ensure all safety regulations and procedures are followed;
  • Maintain a well organized and clean facility, ensure equipment is being kept in good condition;
  • Attend various meetings to provide production updates.
Production
  • Understand the processes and equipment of assigned teams;
  • Manage work center dashboards to ensure a clear understanding of its status, and organize work effectively to achieve production schedule target.
  • Oversee and manage the maintenance and organization of parts within the warehouse, storage areas, and immediate outdoor surroundings;
  • Maintain inventory of work areas;
  • Use lean principles to identify and address areas for improvement;
  • Ensure that team members are properly trained in ERP system;
  • Ensure work orders are being moved in real time through ERP upon completion of assignments;
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Education & Experience
  • Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Three years of leadership experience, in a management level position with direct reports;
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Ability to effectively lead individuals and teams;
  • Good computer skills including use of email, creating, reporting and presenting data;
  • Proficient with reading, understanding and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications and bill of material terms;
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and think strategically;
  • Strong communication skills including verbal and written;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Background in metal manufacturing and/or drainage systems, building materials, or construction industries is an asset.
