Qualifications

We invite applicants from candidates who possess the below qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Minimum: Post-Secondary diploma or trade certification in industrial technology, engineering, or a related field
    • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in industrial technology, forestry, or business administration
  • Experience:
    • Minimum: 4+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment
    • Preferred: Experience working in industrial forestry or sawmill operations
  • Certifications:
    • Minimum: Relevant safety or industry certifications
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Understanding of safety, quality, and environmental standards
    • Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
  • Lead and Engage a High-Performance Team: Direct and inspire a production team of 16-20 employees, fostering collaboration and accountability to meet performance goals
  • Ensure Quality, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Uphold production processes that meet quality, safety, and environmental standards, creating a safe and compliant work environment
  • Optimize Production Resources: Monitor productivity, adjust tasks and scheduling, and efficiently allocate resources to meet production targets
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Coach and support your direct reports in enhancing their skills and professional growth through performance management and development programs
  • Support Administrative Operations: Manage scheduling, payroll processing, and daily reporting to maintain efficient operations
