Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Availability for on-call evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Experience in Agriculture or Food Production is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Train staff on health and safety regulations; ensure compliance with Feed Assure standards.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling to ensure efficient staffing.
  • Schedule production runs, monitor performance, and track deviations according to QA/QC policies.
  • Work with management on customer service and quality initiatives.
  • Monitor raw ingredient inventory and coordinate production forecasting.
  • Prioritize repairs with maintenance teams; implement the corporate Quality Assurance program.
  • Represent management in scheduling meetings, inspections, and training sessions.

Your Role

As a Production Supervisor, you are responsible for the leadership and administration of plant operations, including staffing, production scheduling, raw ingredient inventory monitoring, and ensuring the quality of goods produced and timely manufacturing of finished products.

You will build and maintain relationships with production employees and maintenance staff, supervise Feed Assure and quality assurance programs, oversee planned and preventative maintenance, and uphold all Health & Safety initiatives within the facility.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Safety & Compliance: Train staff on health and safety regulations; ensure compliance with Feed Assure standards.
  • Staff Management: Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling to ensure efficient staffing.
  • Production Oversight: Schedule production runs, monitor performance, and track deviations according to QA/QC policies.
  • Collaboration: Work with management on customer service and quality initiatives; communicate regularly with the Plant Manager.
  • Inventory Coordination: Monitor raw ingredient inventory and coordinate production forecasting with Dispatch and Customer Service.
  • Maintenance & Quality: Prioritize repairs with maintenance teams; implement the corporate Quality Assurance program.
  • Health & Safety Committee: Represent management in scheduling meetings, inspections, and training sessions.
