Job summary

FASTSIGNS Brampton is seeking a Sign Production Specialist to join the team. The role involves following layouts to apply vinyl and full-color graphics to substrates, preparing materials, weeding excess vinyl, and operating printers.

You will perform QA against Work Orders and handle finishing tasks such as laminating and mounting. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in sign production, can stand 4+ hours, lift 50+ pounds, and work well under pressure to produce high-volume, high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sign production experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for 4+ hours.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and apply vinyl letters and graphics.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high-volume, high-quality work.
• Ability to use light power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphics on a substrate.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning).
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images.
• Operate and maintain printer(s).
• Perform quality assurance by reading Work Orders and proofing for errors.
• Finish by laminating and mounting printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels and stock needs to the center/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment

Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
