The Production Security, Special Events and Anti‑Piracy team provides oversight, assistance and response for production needs worldwide including talent security, production security, set location and off‑site remote location security, investigative support, travel security, and alert monitoring, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while in production. In an emergency, the Production Security Manager can respond, oversee, and direct the production team. They contribute support by providing operational capabilities and policy or procedural recommendations in the performance of essential services, liaising with third‑party security vendors, law enforcement and emergency services, and in the formulation and dissemination of security‑related plans. Further, they operate as the central communication point for security related incidents for all production‑related activity and locations.
A Production Security Manager is an individual who oversees the safety and security of an active production. They are responsible for communicating at all levels (crew, talent, production executive) with the ability to use discretion and be firm when an issue arises. They are taught to understand the overall objectives of a production to balance them alongside their security objectives. They are responsible for managing the security planning to facilitate the needs and requirements of the production, minimizing risk wherever possible. Overall, they are on the ground advisors to the production leadership for identifying and mitigating security risks.
