Job description

Production Scheduler
JOB SUMMARY:
  • Accountable for the delivery of an executable Production Scheduling Plan that meets business objectives while maximizing production efficiency.
  • Provide direction to the Planning and Project Management Teams. This includes but is not exclusive to:
    • Distribution of workload between Work Centers
    • Providing business direction on conflicting priorities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Main Focus:
    • On-time release and issuance of production documents – work orders, BOM, Labels.
    • Preparation of Reports for Schedule Loads: weekly and monthly loads.
    • Continues improvements of processes.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Liaise regularly as Key Supply Contact with the following Teams: Material Planning, Project Management, Purchasing and Production Teams.
  • Ensure a smooth workflow of orders from the release of production documents to shipping - paying particular attention to production load, capacity, plant efficiencies, and customer service.
  • Ensure that the applicable master data is accurate and perform audits of master data as appropriate.
  • Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule.
  • Review sales forecast with management team on a monthly basis, and suggest modifications consistent with knowledge of current or historical demand.
  • Participate in project milestone meetings.
  • Continuous Improvement

EXPECTATIONS:
  • Understand the production schedule and coordinate with internal customers to attain the production goals.
  • Maintain the accuracy of SAP Data by regularly auditing the Routing Standards of each Product Line.
  • Handle and resolve the issues related to the production schedule.
  • Ownership in sustaining and improving current processes and systems in accordance with long-term objectives.

MAINTAIN THE FOLLOWING REPORTS:
  • Monthly and Weekly Production Loads
  • Work Order Confirmation Report
  • Overdue Report
  • Work Order Release Status Report

MEASURE OF SUCCESS:
  • Projects are scheduled based on Production Lead-time Standards. Rush/Short Cycled Projects are highlighted and addressed to achieve the best possible outcome.
  • The MHrs is computed correctly and the load is properly distributed to each Resource/Work Center.
  • Weekly and Monthly Reports are prepared on time.
  • The changes in the schedule and issues that affected the schedule to the Team are properly communicated, thereby setting a clear direction and plan of action and avoiding confusion.

Education:
  • Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Experience:
  • Experiences Working with SAP is Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, production scheduling, or a related position.
Skills:
  • Above average ability in Excel (VLOOKUP and create Formulas)
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
