Wage

Job Description

Reporting directly to the HR Director, the HR Generalist is involved with maintaining diverse human resources functions including recruitment, employee onboarding/offboarding, performance management, and policy implementation. The HR Generalist serves as a link between management and employees to ensure smooth operation of HR processes within the organization and implements HR initiatives to foster a positive team culture and work environment.

Key responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

  • Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
  • Identifies staff vacancies and collaborates with managers/talent acquisition team for candidate selection.
  • Assists with employee conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and understaffing issues. Organizes culture-enhancing events to promote company culture.
  • Coordinates labour relations and contract administration.
  • Conducts new employee orientation and implements offboarding process to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum two (2) year experience in human resources role within a manufacturing setting
  • Basic knowledge Human Resources Information Systems, Workday preferred
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources laws
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to focus time on the most important and urgent issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills to interact with internal team members and external customers
  • Goal oriented self-starter with an entrepreneurial personality able make strategic decisions with a sense of velocity and urgency
  • High ethical standards to be able to process confidential employee information
