Job summary

Fusion Pharmaceuticals, part of the AstraZeneca Group, is building a GMP‑compliant radiopharmaceutical facility in Hamilton, Ontario. We are seeking a Production Planner to coordinate global clinical supply operations and align internal sites with CMOs to ensure timely delivery of IMP to patients.

The role requires 2–3 years in production planning within pharma/biotech, strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills, and a detail‑oriented, collaborative work style for global time zones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain in pharma/biotech/clinical research.
  • Strong command of ERP/MRP systems and advanced data tools (Excel, SharePoint, workflow automation).
  • Familiarity with GMP in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours for global time zones.

  • Act as a liaison between supply chain, quality assurance, and manufacturing partners to resolve scheduling bottlenecks.
  • Participate in ongoing optimization of planning workflows, system enhancements, and change control assessments.
  • Perform other related operational duties as required.

The Role

We are seeking a Production Planner who brings a detailed and collaborative focus to join our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in coordinating Global clinical supply operations, aligning internal manufacturing sites with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), and ensuring the seamless delivery of radiopharmaceutical investigational medicinal product (IMP) to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Clinical Supply Chain team, CMOs, and internal manufacturing sites to plan and schedule patient doses, calibration sample availability, and overall manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare and communicate weekly manufacturing demand reports to internal and external collaborators to help align operations and plan ahead
  • Maintain accurate data entry within planning systems and trackers to ensure real‑time visibility and schedule accuracy. Perform regular data audits to support reliable reporting and operational planning.
  • Develop, draft, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for core departmental processes and supply activities to ensure GxP compliance and consistency.
  • Act as a key liaison between supply chain, quality assurance, and manufacturing partners to resolve scheduling bottlenecks
  • Participate in ongoing optimization of planning workflows, system enhancements, and change control assessments.
  • Perform other related operational duties as required by the business.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research sectors.
  • Strong command of ERP/MRP systems and advanced data management tools (such as Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and workflow automation tools).
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Standard Operating Procedures within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and proven ability to communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones as needed.
Desirable
  • Familiarity with clinical trial phases (Phase I–III), blinding/randomization concepts, and the strict timelines required for patient‑specific dosing.
  • Proven experience in cell therapy or radiopharmaceutical supply chain operations is a plus.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP or specialized clinical supply management systems like Perceptive RTSM)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, automated trackers, complex formulas)

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 71,379.20 to 93,685.20.
