Job summary

Doppelmayr Canada Ltd. in the Laurentians region is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate production activities, optimize resources, and ensure smooth operations across the plant.

The role requires a strong background in production planning, ERP systems, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet delivery timelines and capacity targets. Proficiency in French and English is essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Planning, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar production planning role within the steel fabrication industry (an asset).
• Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor activities to ensure that all production departments meet objectives and deadlines.
• Develop and manage weekly and daily production schedules based on delivery timelines, plant capacity, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure an efficient production flow.
• Analyze production delays and recommend solutions.

Your tasks

As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating production activities to ensure smooth operations while optimizing resources and production capacity. You will work closely with various internal teams to meet production requirements and achieve established objectives.

Summary of tasks

Production Planning

• Plan, organize, and monitor activities to ensure that all production departments meet established objectives and deadlines.
• Develop and manage weekly and daily production schedules based on delivery timelines, plant capacity, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure an efficient production flow.
• Analyze production delays and recommend solutions to address them.

Administrative and Technical Support

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date production data within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Manage work orders and production tracking documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the Production Department.

Other

• Apply and comply with the requirements of the Company's policies and Quality Management System.
• Perform all duties in accordance with the Company's Code of Ethics.
• Apply and comply with all safety rules and procedures at all times.
• All other related tasks.

Your profile

Education and Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Planning, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar production planning role within the steel fabrication industry (an asset).
• Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Familiarity with steel cutting, welding, and machining processes (an asset).

• Excellent understanding of production and planning processes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings (an asset).
• Good understanding of the relationships between the different modules within an ERP system.
• Strong analytical mindset.

Languages

The incumbent of the position must regularly collaborate with Doppelmayr Group teams located outside Quebec and consult technical documentation, databases, and other materials available exclusively in English.
